5th Anniversary of GIPAP Thailand
The promise continues to help chronic leukemia patients

Bangkok, 29 August 2008 - The International Patient Assistance Program  (GIPAP) by Novartis celebrated 5th Anniversary in Thailand since its launch in January, 2003. The promise of GIPAP continues to help Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) patients and Gastro Intestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST) patients. During five years of successful operation in Thailand, GIPAP has helped 1,380 needy patients suffering from certain forms of CML and GIST by providing the innovative drug – Imatinib Mesylate – free of charge.

Qualification
1. Thai nationality
2. Properly diagnosed
3. Not insured
4. Not reimbursed
5. Have no other financial recourses (cannot pay for it privately)
